Ask is really an upmarket chain of Italian restaurants. In my opinion it delivers this really well. The restaurant itself has a very smart interior and the toilets are good. The menu is predominately pizza and pasta, but there are also salads and meat dishes, however, whatever you choose, it is guaranteed to be high quality. The staff are always helpful and polite, and managed to accommodate 9 of us on one occasion despite having no record of our reservation (we had changed the reservation time and everything had got mixed up).
Ask is not a budget restaurant having a fairly expensive menu for an Italian. It is, however, a lovely place to go for a meal, and as a result, I do not begrudge the higher prices, as a feel the high quality of both the restaurant itself and the food undoubtedly makes up for it.

Ask restaurant is in the Walkergate section of Durham close to the Gala theatre and surrounded by other restaurants meaning that it has to really try hard to pull people in. It is a chain restaurant and so you really know what you’re getting here. They serve good Italian food at a relatively reasonable price.

The restaurant itself seems upmarket with good service, clean toilets and a well set-out dining area meaning that you don’t feel cramped or crowded even when there are lots of people around. It does, however, seem to be lacking in character somewhat and the price range makes it only a rare treat for any students.
