Everybody loves fish and chips!!!! Bimbi's get it right everytime, they just produce great chips - i don't know why it is different from other chip shops - it just is!!!!
Situated in the middle of durahm, great for day time shopping break, or night time drunken munchies!!!!

There is only one problem with these fabulous chips...the price is really not right!
They are very expensive, so nice to sit down and relax durng the day, you don't mind paying the extra, but for the night time drunken munchies, it may be a chioce between bimbi's and walking home, or cheaper chips and taxi home!!!

this is situated in the centre of durham market and is very handy after closing time of clubs. very niffy to just grab a bite to eat before getting a taxi home. when i went last i found the chips to be a little bit over cooked but the fish was very tasty and the batter was nice and crispy. i have been to Bimbi's a few times throughout the day and i have really enjoyed their food, so i think it was a case of it was nearly closing time. i thought the prices were a little bit too much but it is worth it when the food is cooked great. over all i think bimbis is great!

The food is a little greasy for my taste, and on more then one occasion the chips have under cooked. The fish is really nice though.

I found it to be very expensive comapared to other fish and chip shops, but thats the price for being in Durhams Market Place. It's open really late on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays which means it is really handy for a bite to eat at kicking out time!

During the day they have a seated dining area which I'venever used, as it looks a bit old fashioned for my taste, but it always seems to be busy.

Bimbis is Conveniently located in the Market Place in Durham and open all day till about 3am at weekends!

The fish is normally cooked to perfection and the chips are nice and not too greasy. They also do sausages, fish cakes and pies. Their gravy is delicious!

The interior is a bit dated, but serving area is usually clean. There is a fairly large seating area, but this is only open during the day

Prices are expensive, especially if you eat in, but worth it!

The staff are friendly and the service is usually really quick. They have another outlet in Neville Street at the opposite end of Durham.
