    Nice Rice and Price

This is one of my favourite and most regularly used Indian takeaways. It is based in Framwellgate Moor, a couple of miles outside of Durham City Centre and is on a main road so easy to find and also quite popular. There are a wide range of dishes available. They sell Halal Bangladeshi and Indian food. There is plenty of choice for vegetarians and my favourites are the vegetable Bhuna, mushroom Kurma and more recently the vegetable Dansak of which my partner absolutely adores their chicken variety. I have tried quite a few different meals here and none of them have let me down. The prices are quite reasonable and the staff have always been pleasant and courteous in my experience. The only real drawback is that it's popularity means you sometimes have a bit of a wait.

    Excellent Indian Food!

Situated in Framwellgat Moor, it is very easy to find and there are plenty of free car parking spaces outside.

I ordered Chicken Curry and a portion of chips, which took about 15 minutes to cook, which was great as then you know it's being cooked to order not simmering in a big pot somewhere. The food was really nice, not too spicy as some places are apt to do andthe chips were more like potato wedges which was great.

The service was polite and friendly from start to finish.

The interior was a little dated, but nowhere near enough to put me off. It was very busy, which too me is a sign of a good takeaway. I will be sure to return!
