It was pricey, but the beer menu was larger than most restaurant's food menus. You could really experience the world of (or at least a healthy range of Belgian trappist monk) beers.

It will be sorely missed for the deft coinisseur of beer who considers the drink an adventure and not a means to getting pissed.

The beer and ambiance of the place were fantastic - sadly it closed earlier this year and has been replaced by the coctail bar Half&Half.

Does what it says on the tin. Beer, beer and more beer as well as often a couple of interesting ciders to boot. Check out the massive list of different, mainly Belgian, beers that is found on the bar. I've spent some time in Belgium and Northern France and this place provides all the atmosphere of any beer establishment I've found there. Beer Circus, despite (or because of?) its location slightly away from the centre of Croydon, is often quiet, the decor is rather bare. Not many places as specialist as this one, so if you like your Belgian beer give it a look.
