Reviews for Coventry Transport Museum
well this place is amazing. it has a variety of different places. coventry didnt hold back when it came to boasting about the thrust.
its well worth visiting. and there isnt and entrance fee.
if youve got nothing better to do in town. then you could just stroll around the transport museum, exploring coventrys history.
Myself and my family have been to the coventry transport museum many times for many years. Its free of charge and is brilliant for the kids. they have a great selection and some really good exhibits for eg. the thrust 2 fastest car thingy ....the kids love it as the room goes completly dark and then lights up .... then they have a blackout zone...buses...bikes....loads of cars.... just so much for the whole family to do.
Its really close to the town centres shops as well so you can a whole day of it.... really great day out.
they are have a really good gift shop aswell, with loads of model cars and other sovigniours etc.... I always say to my wife that i can not believe that they still do not charge admission as its a really good day out....I highly reccomend you go along and check it out for yourselves and take the kids or grandkids a long.
always a good place to go, especially fot thekids or men! A wide selection of cars, bikes ect.does get quite busy and has alot of school trips going there. Has a cafe and a gift shop, both are reasonable prices i thought
I have visited the transport museum on several occasions. It is filled to the brim with cars, bikes and other forms of transport - any mans dream. It is easy to navigate your way round and there is many interactive activities you can enjoy. The blitz exhibition was one of my highlights as it's informing and interesting. There is also a cafe which sells your typical cuisine - sandwiches, beverages and other treats. There is also a gift shop selling your average souvenirs. There a lots of things for the kids. They have pretty much got the entire history of cars including the first - the Daimler. They also have penny farthings and every other types of bikes. Another highlight is the exhibition of famous cars from films and TV programmes. There's the car from Back to the Future and Starsky & Hutch. I would reccomend the Coventry Transport Museum for anyone and everyone but also as a family day out.
I have visited Coventry Transport Museum on several occasions, I used to be able to navigate my way around it rather well, but the layout now isn't quite as good as it used to be.
The collection is a wonderful range of cars (and bikes etc) ranging from some of the first cars ever built, right through to concept cars of the future. There is an activity room, which children can play in and they can learn through play there too. The museum puts on various activitiew throughout the school holidays, however I believe that booking is essential for the activities.
There is a cafe in the museum, which sells sandwiches, salads and other basic foods and drinks, the staff there are friendly and helpful, the prices aren't too expensive and I think the proceeds go back to the museum itself.
There are various exhibitions throughout the year, some are static, therefore never change and others are changed regularly.
There is also a 'blitz experience', which tells you about the world war and the bombing of Coventry.
If you're stuck for something to do, visit the museum, I would recommend it to anyone who likes cars or who has an interest in Coventrys history.
