We thought it was a perfect spot with a beautiful view of the boats and the harbour.
We ordered two Chicken and Chorizo pasta dishes and 1 Beef burger approximately Ł28 (from the bar menu) which was not a small sum for 3 dishes. However I believe that you if you pay a little more you get a little more.

Reviews for The Mulberry
We visited the Mulberry at about 5pm on a Saturday. There were three of us who were absolutely famished and really wanting some good grub.
We thought it was a perfect spot with a beautiful view of the boats and the harbour.
We ordered two Chicken and Chorizo pasta dishes and 1 Beef burger approximately £28 (from the bar menu) which was not a small sum for 3 dishes. However I believe that you if you pay a little more you get a little more.
When our meals arrived the pasta dishes looked very poor and literally thrown in the dish. The chicken was pre cooked and sliced with some unrecognisable over cooked and slimy vegetables & the sauce was thin and obviously came out of a jar. Having asked for Parmesan we were told there was none in the kitchen and therefore they didn’t serve it....? So I didn’t ask for black pepper either!!
My other Guests meal of the Burger Arrived looking like it was made out coal it was so burnt. However my two guests were far too hungry to complain and risk the wait for other meals. So as a one time caterer I plucked up the courage to complain. The lady who was serving us (who I think was the manager) stomped past at a rate of knots and gave a fleeting "everything alright" already walking away whilst saying it. "No" I exclaimed and was met with the fiercest look a woman as ever given me. She stomped up to our table lunged over at me with a frown, fists on hips and an incredible hard look on her face and asked me what was wrong with it. Feeling like Oliver Twist I politely explained that the dish look cheap and simply not of the quality or level of food I expected.
At this time I could see my guest with the burger covering up his meal from fear of the reproach he might receive if he looked as though he was about to complain.
The manager replied that all the food was cooked fresh from the kitchen!
I retorted that I didn’t care if it was fresh it was cheap and used cheap ingredients and was thrown on a plate and I was not going accept it, pushing the dish away. She then asked if the other guests were happy with their meals and quite surprisingly there were completely happy. Bunny Rabbits in headlights came to mind…!! The manager stomped away and into the kitchen.
I was not offered one single apology nor was I asked if I would like to choose another meal from the menu. Ten minutes later the “stomp” came over to the table and slung my reimbursed money down on the table with a simple “there’s your money for your meal”. Again, no apology was forthcoming and no attempt to heal the tense situation created by their unprofessional approach to food and customers.
I cannot warn other customers to think twice before going for a meal at this establishment more passionately. It seems that paying a little more means receiving more hassle than quality of food and service.
