Pizza Hut is a large chain with restaurants nationwide offering convenience pizzas, pasta and salads to eat in or take away; good when you're in a hurry and don't fancy a hamburger.

Reviews for Pizza Hut

Pizza hut is always so very packed with people and so it can be very hard to find a table quickly. They do this wait to be seated system, so even when it is not busy you are often left standing about waiting for a seat, while the staff wander about seemingly oblivious to you, while other customers who are already seated look smugly on while stuffing in their pizza buffet.
I know it sounds like I am not keen on pizza hut, this is not the case, I like the pizza that you get here and the buffet is good, nice selection also, as long as it is not too
busy (which it usually is).
The drinks are great, one price to pay, but they can just keep on coming if you want them to, shame the wine and beer does not run on the unlimited refill offer though.

reading this comment makes me wonder why customers find it strange that a restaurant asks you not to seat yourself. if you expect table service then surely you expect to be greeted and seated at the door?! pizza hut is hardly mcdonalds, its a well established restaurant brand where the food is cooked fresh to order and the staff are well trained and follow strict procedure when serving customers. in the event that the restaurant is packed it is unfortunate that a customer may have to wait at the door. it is company policy that the customers sat at the tables must receive the best service. unfortunatly this means that sometimes someone must wait for a table to be sat. however, the customer waiting will have been acknowledged and, where possible, given a choice of table so that their visit is as enjoyable as possible. and by the time any customer gets sat, the member of staff serving them will give them all the attention they need. (if you wanted to order your food would you rather your waitress was entertaining the queuing customers instead?)
the high street store is unfortunatly fairly small and on a busy day in town, it is a popular lunch destination. if you were to visit at a less busy time i can assure you that the service will be second to none. having worked for pizza hut and another more "upmarket" local restaurant simultaneously i can assure you that pizza hut puts more effort into staff training and customer care than any other. as a member of staff, it is very disheartening to hear a customer complain about circumstances that are out of your control.
i can also assure you that the staff are not "oblivious" to you. it is often very claustrophobic to have customers hassling you for a table when you cannot make one appear, however you cannot let your customers know how stressful the job can be as they should never feel rushed or bothered in any way.
apologies for your dissatisfaction with having to wait (although im sure that anyone would encounter this problem at some point in any restaurant, im pretty sure you couldnt just walk into the ritz for example...), i only hope that once you were sat you enjoyed your visit. in the time that i worked for the company i can assure you that every customer is valued and the management will not allow someone to leave disappointed. i always enjoy pizza hut as a customer and the company was a pleasure to work for.

The pizza hut in colchester town centre is on the high street and is a really popular lunch time restaurant. At the moment there is a voucher which gives you half price food at all the pizza huts and we used one with a large group of us and had a massive pizza blow out. The goats cheese topped pizza is a firm favorite as is the seafood one and the cheesy bites crust is good hot but a bit rubbery when it cools down. The staff here are usually good and we visit quite often. The buffet is good but can get emptied quickly leaving you waiting for more to arrive.

Pizza hut is always a great place for a bargain lunch time feast either with friends in the lunch hour break or with the kids for a treat. The buffet is such good value that every one wants it and some times you do feel it is a bit like food rationing when you have to wait for some thing you like to turn up on the hot plate. But once it does it is very tasty. The refill drinks are the usual brands and offer great value, they just continue to ask if you need another one. Kids can either choose from the kids menu or have something from the main menu. The sharing cookie dough is great but gets eaten too quick and could do with more ice cream. But over all we do like the food here.

This pizza hut looks a lot smarter since the refurb. It is good value at lunchtimes for the buffet- pizza only buffet is £4.99 rather than £5.99 which is worth remembering if you don't want the pasta and salad with it. It gets very busy and often has a long queue, so the staff can be rather overstreched, but they always seem polite and cheerful. The buffet could sometimes do with being topped up quicker and with a larger variety. On their main menu they keep inventing new ways to make everyone eat their crusts- you can now have it stufed with cheese, pepporoni and goodness know what else! They also have various meal deals.

This pizza hut has been refurbished within the last 6 months and as such it looks pretty smart compared to some, but it is just another pizza hut and so everyone knows what to expect there. It can get quite busy especially at the weekend and there can often be a queue at these peak times but the staff are usually nice and polite and in the event that they have made a mistake with your order generally accept it and try to correct it for you. A nice cheap place to have a quick meal and since the refurbishment a nice atmosphere too
