Great place to go for a quiet drink. They have Guinness on tap, as well as Greene King IPA, Adnams Bitter and Carlsberg Lager all at reasonable prices. Food can be quite nice and they even do take away on (I believe) every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. The locals are friendly and there is a good, peaceful family atmosphere. In the summer there is a beer garden with a child's play area. Perfect for a quiet Sunday meal with the family. There is benches out front which can be useful...

In the summer there is a beer garden with a child's play area. Perfect for a quiet Sunday meal with the family. There is benches out front which can be useful to sit at if you are a smoker. Doesn't usually get very busy either. A nice, friendly village pub.
