The New Cafe Punjab isn't actually new, it's been there for years, although the "New" came about when it moved three doors up the street to a bigger premises. I personally preferred the intimacy of the old restaurant, however, the staff are still exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the food is fantastic. Choose from Ala Carte, Business lunch, or Buffet, there is something for all palates.

The Shahi Bahar is a favourite of mine, but preferring hot dishes, the chef easilly...

The Shahi Bahar is a favourite of mine, but preferring hot dishes, the chef easilly heats it up nicely, without ruining the flavour.

It really is a fantastic restaurant, and being right beside the train station, is accessible enough to leave the car behind. Well worth a visit.
