Reviews for Wick Lodge
In all honesty this place...Well one word ladies and gentleman. Average. This place is almost as bad as the old shack called 'The Victory' in Walton. But i cant compare the two because 'The Victory' is in another league of low standards. The food was pretty good but the service here was slow. Overall it was not too shabby. B-
Expectations well and truely met.
The wick lodge public house and restaurant is situated on the very busy jaywick lane, on the outskirts of clacton. It is a lively and busy pub, with many regulars. I used to like the wick lodge a lot, but have not been in recently. The sing along kareoke was good. They have a carvery open at certain times as well which was ok. The choice of starters is good and this is followed with a huge roast dinner, so do not eat all day before you go. You can hire the room at the back for functions and we once went to a kids party there which was full of bouncy castles and the kids loved it. It has lots of parking too, which is handy as it is not with in walking distance of town.
