outdoor luncheon in lovely Cotswolds Village
On a seven mile hike, through the beautiful Cotswolds, we stopped for luncheon at this newly refurbished pub in the charming village of Coln St Aldwyns. We sat at an outdoor table
(the sun shone for once) and were delighted to find an imaginative menu. I settled for a parma ham and mozzarella salad whilst Mrs Magellan opted for salmon.
Our companions chose the roast beef doorstep sandwich. The service was very welcoming and the food quite delicious and beautifully presented. About 15 a head including drinks and coffee.
The proprietor is a Mr du Plessis and I congratulate him on a most successful enterprise. One extra treat: a fly past by the Red Arrows who were performing at a local air show.
