The Bear & Billet is a good traditional pub, serving several guest ales in a bare floor and beamed setting. Benson's is located upstairs, serving food. The service is friendly and efficient and all together this is one of Chester's best traditional pubs.

Six hand pumps make this large historical pub a pleasure to visit. Fine food complements the beer in this Okell's house, and a small beer garden and upstairs dining area make drinking here a fine experience.
