On first impressions, this department store seems highly expensive, but that's only if you take a quick glance at what this store has to offer! With a delightful food court, where you can find a huge range of chocolates, liqueurs, cheeses and cakes, you will never get tired of Howells. Their clothes department include many popular brands like French Connection, Replay and Morgan :) and their cosmetics counters are so friendly! Also, I would recommend their restaurants as they are to die for!

On first entrance you get the impression that you really shouldn't be there and everything is too expensive and you really should be leaving...but wait! Look closer and you'll find it's actually quite an affordable department store (albeit an impressive one). So many brands are carried here, it's a great shopping experience in itself, and offers so many brands that can be hard to find here in Wales. You may think you'd have to go all the way to London to find brands like these, as some of them just aren't carried by Cardiff's Debenhams or Cwmbran's David Evans, but look in Howell's and I'm sure you'll find them without the crowded, busy hassle and elitism of Harrod's. The staff are always very helpful, and the food court serves up some fantastic pastries and desserts. It also carries certain American food brands for those homesick Americans, or those of you who just like them anyway. If you can't find it anywhere else, you'll probably find it in Howell's, I dare you to go in and not be impressed!
