Only joking. I love this place! Yes, you have to dig around for things a bit more than in other High street shops, but that is part of the fun. You don't get as much fashion guidance from the store in the form of mannequins, photos, etc. which can be quite exciting as you find things and put them together. Often you find very good designer stuff that has been heavily discounted, and if it is in your size, you will be laughing. Store assistants are few and far between, so if you like star treatment, maybe this isn't for you. The other plus of shopping here is that usually you won't end up seeing anyone else wearing your clothes as often happens with the likes of Topshop. With the new store by the Hayes, TKMaxx have stepped up their game, and it is now better laid out, with better air conditioning than before, and even a cafe where you can pick up a coffee after all that exhausting searching around for your bargain.

A massive selection of reduced clothes, accessories, shoes etc many much reduced from their original price. This is the kind of store you need to devote time to being in though. If you're a regular in town and love browsing you'll soon be able to spot bargains quickly. If however, you're short of time and looking for something specific it can take time to find out if they have it in stock. I would recommend always trying on as an item I once bought had to be returned, I was able to exchange no problem but after trying on I had to get four sizes bigger. I beleive that some items are in the store because they are seconds eg wrong labels. Also, the sections are not always well maintained so finding your size can be hard. Still. if you like a rummage this is your place.

TK Maxx is definitely the place to go for designer clothes at high street prices- literally! This is the knock-off bin for all the designer clothes nobody wanted, but you wouldn't know it. The clothes are always good quality, and the store is fabulous, if a little out of the way. The best bit? The clothes are all arranged by size, so no disappointment when you like an item but they don't have it in your size! So much simpler, and from the sheer mass of clothes the store contains, so much easier, and saves a lot of wasted time. One downpoint: do they even have staff?
