Claire Grove is one of Cardiff’s best-known independent shopkeepers selling beads and buttons from around the world. She is also an artist who has produced a series of award-winning, humorous and quirky images that have gained a cult following.

Now in its twenty-fifth year of business, the shop was once described as the most ridiculous retailing idea to come out of the 1980s and survive. Her shop has endured as a source of inspiration and wonder to locals and tourists alike and has since become a unique icon of the city.
