PizzaExpress has expanded enormously over the years and now has a staggering number of outlets. The simple menu and kitchen concept has retained its freshly made ideal and you can still watch your pizza being prepared for you. This branch has live Jazz music every second Tuesday in the month and an cater for private parties of up to 30 guests upon request.

Reviews for PizzaExpress

Being a national chain, the menu here is probably exactly what you expect, because you’ve been to Pizza Express before! The restaurant itself and the staff, though, are nicer than I have experienced at other branches of the same chain. The restaurant is spacious inside and decorated in a light and airy style, there is plenty of space between the tables with I appreciate. The kitchen is in the middle of the space, along one wall, and is open so that you can see the chefs preparing your pizza. I especially like to see (and smell) all their fresh ingredients waiting to be used. On both of my visits the staff have been friendly and attentive without being overbearing and the pizza is delicious.

Thia is a really nice rsturant situated in the middle of town. They open for lunch or in the evening. I would suggest booking in the night as it does get very busy. Its a really nice place. Very clean and the staff have been very freindly everytime I have been in there. They do great pizza and they are very well priced. They also offer some other italian dishes. They can accomadate you with the food. If there is anything you dont like just tell them because everything is made from scratch. Lunchtime menu is very reasonable. It is a very relaxing pit stop if you have been walking around town all day. Good place to go for a meal with the girls or family. Wine is also priced well : )

If I was fancying pizza, Pizza Express wouldn't be my first choice. I think it sits somewhere in between the other pizza options- in that it's nicer (and more expensive with it) than other pizza chains, however in my opinion, if you're going to fork out a decent whack for a pizza, go somewhere more authentic.

That said, my sister loves the place, so I often find myself there! The food IS good, my personal favorite is the four cheese.

The staff have always been polite, the one thing I would say is of you catch it on a busy day, I have had to wait a while to order drinks.

How to write a review on Pizza Express? First there’s the tricky existential issues of writing a review that no-one will ever read, except perhaps to see how and why someone wrote a review of Pizza Express-a place, like McDonalds, that surely fails any standard of needing a review. Well seeing as we have embarked on this mobius strip of a review, we may as well endeavour. Let me take you on a journey, up High Street Cardiff, to a mystical place called ‘Pizza Express’ or maybe ‘PizzaExpress’ as fashionable people are wont to write. On the other hand you could just tap into the clues presented in the title to work out what sort of a place Pizza Express is, and whether you would be the sort of person to like it. A review sans review.

First of all, this place is very nicely set out. The decor is modern with an immaculate finish, the tables are always clean and the atmosphere is pure. Though the name might sound like some sort of fast food cheap and nasty place it is anything but that. The food is great tasting and of good quality as is the service. You are made to feel very welcome there and the atmosphere is relaxing with a posh feel to it. The menu has a wide variety of different pizzas etc that everyone will enjoy. I particularly recommend the tomato, basil and mozzarella pizza - it tastes divine! It is definitely a place to go to have a meal out with family or friends whether your celebrating A-level results or a new job! I recommend. Only thing I don't like is the name haha!

Despite the stylish look to Pizza Express there is a warm welcome for families. The children may watch the pizza chef preparing the pizza and are provided with chef's hats and the ubiquitous colouring in book. Lovely food which feels really handmade and tasted beautiful.
