Right at the top end of Canton, along the busy Cowbridge Road, lie plenty of cheapish restaurants. Seren is certainly one of the better ones. As far as atmosphere is concerned it errs on the side of light and friendly, as opposed to dark and discrete. The food is Turkish in origin with an interesting menu. I can only comment on the non-meat dishes which were all well-cooked and tasty-there’s quite a good selection for us veggies. Staff are friendly which makes eating there a laid-back affair, before the smoking ban they were happy for you to light up after your meal, which gives you a flavour of the restaurant. Well-priced.

Located on Cowbridge Road amoungst dry cleaners and charity shops this little gem is well worth seeking out. More space inside than you would expect this resaurant is friendly and unpretentious. As a long time veggie the selections on Seren's menu is great, it is one place that I really find myselft spoilt for choice even once you take into account my piccy tastes. The staff are always frienly, helpful and prompt. The cost of eating here is always reasonable as the drinks are not overpriced making it a great palce for all I've visited here with the kids who have been made welcome.

The Seren restaurant in Cardiff serves delicious Turkish food in a friendly atmosphere.

Seren is a charming restaurant, much nicer on the inside than the outside initially led me to believe.

The service was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly understanding and willing to cater for my dietary requirements.

The food was reasonably priced with an excellent selection for vegetarians and omnivores alike. My wife is a vegetarian, and she was well represented. Portions were ample and the food tasted delicious and homemade. My dinner guest said that the baklava was the best she's ever had! Highly recommended..
