Reviews for Milgi

After the sad demise of Bar en Route this is the front runner to take over as my preferred local hang-out.

The drinks are on the pricey side but you're not just paying for drinks you're paying for a good time in a relaxing venue. Unlike many bars they don't pipe in the music too loud to hear yourself think, conversation is encouraged here!

To keep the relaxed vibe going they seem keen that their customers are comfortable, even to the point of turning people away when the bar is far from full.

The yurt in the back garden is a great novel addition and a unique venue to watch music or whatever else they have going on in there.

I've not tried the food yet but I've heard good things and I'm sure I will soon!

Where do you start? Possibly one of the top places to go in Cardiff, everything about Milgi has been well thought out and made truly wonderful.

Food? you get a fantastic selection of tapas, which I have always found delicious and generous. Art? yes, art! Milgi has videos on flatscreen TVs, photography, graffiti, T-shirts and a whole lot more weird and wonderful things going on. Drink? Oh my yes. On the expensive side, but worth it if you like your cocktails strong, fresh and sometimes bizarre. Music? There are always plenty of live events, DJs and all sorts of other happenings that don't really fit into any exact category. Oh, and it has a yurt in the back garden.

Milgi is like a beautiful exotic creature in the Cardiff nightlife jungle. Don't miss it.
