Nice and cosy with a good atmosphere and some good beer but the recent refurbishment is a bit synthetic. We know Chaucer wrote the Canterbury Tales so we don't need reminding every five minutes with quotes written on the walls!

This is a really friendly pub, great building with some lovely features. The beer garden is quite big, and quite trendy. The food is good, with a decent selection for veggies (and a friendly landlord who will help if there's nothing you fancy). The bar staff all seem cheery and really helpful. Very chilled out and comfortable.
