Reviews for PizzaExpress
I went to Pizza Express for an anniversary meal with my partner - neither of us had been there before but both of us love Italian food and thought it would be an interesting mix of fast food restaurant/quality restaurant and we were both pleasantly surprised!
The building itself looks quite beautiful and inside is really rather posh, the staff dress nicely, the lighting is complementary, the tables are set beautifully and the decor is lovely.
We were quickly attended to and we didn't have to wait too long for our meals. There was a great range to choose from, it was actually hard to pick what to have but I went for a lasagne which was quite large and very filling, but very tasty indeed.
It is quite expensive but you definitely get what you pay for, and despite the fast food sounding name of the restaurant it is far from it and the sort of place I would happily have a romantic meal in again.
A more appealing Pizza Express restaurant largely because of the interesting building. I've only been here once (with my partner), and although we weren't seated in the more interesting 'library' room I would definitely recommend eating at this branch of PE.
The food is standard P. E. fare: not bad at all and about what you should expect from a reasonably priced pizza-restaurant-chain (in my view P. E. is one of the better offerings on the high street). The staff were polite and unobtrusive and the service was quick (which is what we wanted).
It looked like a nice stopping point for a quick coffee, to sit in one of the comfy looking leather chairs.
