I always like it in here, service is nice, drinks are really tastty, especially their cocktails and the tapas food is pretty good too, although you dont get a huge amount for what you pay for, the quality is good, and great food to share with a group of friends. Love the atmosphere down here, nice seated alcoves, really cozy and intimate, well until it gets crowded (usually every friday and saturday after 9pm) but its a great spot to start your night out.

This place is a gem! There i was 'alone' and 'forlorn' on a Monday night and La Raza offers great Jazz, Tapas and marvellous selection of more than credible wine with great company and marvellous staff thrown into the mix! Well what more could you want!

My companion and I ordered the Cold Seafood Platter, Vegetarian Plate, Olives and Homous to match and we were not disappointed, nor left unsatisfied. I think perhaps that the Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz (Aus 2003) may have helped along the way, but a fabulous combination none the less!

Easy to miss from the street, but venture down the stairs and welcomes you is a large space with comfy sofa based tables, ambient lighting, a really nice bar area (great cocktails btw) and a DJ area that is not so in your face that it over-imposes upon your dining experience. In short the guys at La Raza have everything right for a nice evening out; great food, great wine, great cocktails... i'll review the mojitos next time!

So in short if you like your jazz, jazzy, your tapas served fast and delicious and your red wine a corner stone of Aussie sumptuousness then this is the place for you in Cambridge, whether a monday night or any other night of the week. Sit back, relax and enjoy!
