Reviews for Tang Chinese

This Chinese restaurant opened at the end of August 2008.
It is situated in Napier Street. Park up at the Grafton Centre, then walk down to Debenhams, look opposite to the exit to Napier Street corridor and in one minute you're out in Napier Street with the red palace of Tang's on your left.
It looks like a Red Peking Palace from outside, yet inside it has cafe type tables, with tablecloths and a heated island containing buffet items which are regularly topped up. Lunch is £6.99 and Dinner £12.99. Selections on display are Chicken and Sweetcorn soup/Chicken Satay/Chilli Chicken/Black Bean and Beef/Sweet and Sour Chicken/Fried Rice/Noodles/Vegetables/Peking Duck and Pancakes/and desserts from the bar. Drinks are reasonably priced £0.99p for a large pot of Chinese tea - which is heaven! It was quite on the first day of opening when we went, but it has probably only got seating for about 50. The large mirror covering a far wall reflects the tables and gives the illusion of a larger restaurant. Ideal if shopping and want quick stylish lunch. Similarly if visiting cinema in Grafton Centre. The buffet style makes it ideal for freedom of choice and satisfies even the hungriest and pickiest diners, as you can keep going up for the fixed price.
Highly recommended.
