Reviews for Nadia's Patisserie
Nadia's Patisserie is one of the best bakeries in Cambridge. There is a very wide selection of food to buy, sweet and savoury. It is a busy bakery - I have never seen it empty, a sure sign it is a popular place.
It is a very friendly place, with quick, efficient service and I love the signage inside, it gives the place a home business, local feel.
Personally I never leave without buying one of their massive chocolate chip cookies, moist and chewy with a melt in the mouth texture, they are not to be missed!
My only complaints would be the prices which do seem a bit much - the sweets aren't too badly priced, but the proices of the savouries is a bit steep. Also I wish it was bigger - it is a shame they cannot extend it as more space really is needed, trying to get in, make your selection and get out again can prove to be a tricky experience at busy periods, so very awkward if like me, you have a young child in a buggy!
There are several branches of this delightful patisserie throughout Cambridge, serving freshly made sandwiches, cakes and drinks. The variety of sandwiches is impressive - baguettes, bagels, bhajis as well as your usual two slices of white or brown. Amid the vast array of cakes, look out for the apricot slice - oozing apricots between two slices of flapjack - delicious rib-sticking stuff. For chocoholics, there's a fine selection of tray bakes and different flavoured caramel shortcakes. The rabbit-shaped cookies displayed in the window at Easter are always popular with children, although so large that my kids can't eat a whole one! Hot and cold drinks are also available. If you're at the Silver Street branch, why not buy something yummy and take yourself off on a picnic by the river?
