Reviews for Fitzwilliam Museum
I have been to the Fitzwilliam 3 times and each time it just gets better. They re-opened the Egyptian wing not long ago and it is just amazing. The artefacts from Greece are especially beautiful and there is plenty of information on every article in the museum. The staff there really know their stuff and actually seem interested in the collections rather than sounding like tney have just memorised a few words from a book!
It isn't too busy so that you feel crowded by other visitors, but not so quiet that you wonder if you have chosen the right museum to visit.
The gift shop (always one of my favourite parts of museums :) ) is well stocked, has gifts for all ages, and isn't too expensive
Great for kids and adults alike, I would definitely recommend this - there is another school holiday coming up soon so if you haven't taken your kids here yet, do it then and you will all have a great time!
