The Black Cock is great little pub just on the way up to Caerphilly mountain on the way towards Tongwynlais. Its only downside is that somebody needs to drive to get there or you might need a taxi!

The service is always good and I have never been able to complain about the food. They offer lots of different specials and give you a choice from a set menu on a Sunday.

The prices of both the food and drinks are very reasonable.

I would recommend booking in advance for a Sunday as it is generally very busy and it is not a huge place.

If you are looking for above average pub grub at a great price in a nice location, then look no further than the Black Cock.
