Browns manages to be quintessentially British while combining a French brasserie with an American burger joint. The result is vivacious and good humoured, while the portions are large and it is very popular with children. The menu offers a bit of everything; burgers, salads, pasta and steaks. The food is wholesome and plentiful and it's a great place for lunch with the kids. Outside seating is provided on the terrace.

Reviews for Browns

Browns is a regular hangout for university students (& the place for graduation meals). There is a bar on entrance, & then plenty of tables & chairs on various seating levels throughout the wide hall. The bar stocks everything you could ask for, & the food specialises in Italian classics – pastas, but includes a wide variety of foods with vegetarian choices, light meals, & they now even offer full English breakfasts (especially good on weekends !). They could do with turning down the volume of the piped music occasionally, but they do have a pianist some nights. Fairly priced & nice surroundings equate to a good meal.
