Reviews for Spice India

I love indian food and having tried many restaurants in Bristol I would certainly reccommend Spice of India. The food is fantastic and the staff are welcoming and hospitable.

The Lamb Dansak is particularly tasty with just the right amount of spice and Spice of India Special Chicken (which I pinched from my friend's plate) was even tastier.

You really will have an enjoyable time and eat genuine indian food that will leave you wanting more :)

The Spice India is a fantastic place, both for a take away, or for a sit down meal with friends, family or just your loved one. I would advise booking for peak times on a friday or saturday night as it does get busy. However their popularity just proves the quality of the food and service is top notch. The menu has all the usual types of dishes you would expect with an indian restaurant and therefore it has a good choice for vegetarians. The food is delivered to your table quickly by very friendly waiters and all the food i have ever had here tasted delicious.

I've been to Spice of India a few times now and each and every time I am impressed with the consistency and quality of the food.

The service is excellent, when walking in I am always made to feel valued and never feel under to pressure to rush my food or to order quickly.

2 beers are offered - Kingfisher and Cobra, which wash the curry down nicely. Although I don't normally drink lager, these drinks do make a nice change.

I ordered Butter Chicken last time, the colours and quality were fantastic. Rich and creamy, the sauce was nice thick yellow with the extras of coconut and poppadums etc complimenting the dish superbly well.

The takeaway quality is every bit as good as the sit down meal equivalent and I highly recommend Spice of India. For non curry eaters, they also serve chips so now you can have the family meal with the fussy family members with everyone enjoying their meals!

Enjoy!
