This used to be Asda's biggest store in the UK (may not be the case now), so it has everything in it. An extensive range of George clothes, Photo centre, Toys, CDs, Electronics, Home furnishings, Car stuff, gardening, video games, pharmacy as well as all the usual food stuff on a massive scale. So you should find what you need here, all at the usual low Asda price.

The only down side is its size - be prepared for a long walk while you do your shopping! So it's not really suitable if you want to do a quick shop, and if you're not familiar with the layout of the store, you can spend forever trying to find the one thing you want.

The store is always busy, but is now open 24hrs, so come Christmas, make sure you shop out of hours, as it's a nightmare for parking and shopping.

We regularly visit Asda due to their extensive range, ease of range, convenient hours and most importantly, excellent prices.

With the George clothing section you can kit the kids for school or get a new pair of footwear, whilst there is a film processing unit, cafe, electrical area and of course the main store where you can do your food shop.

We've never had any problems at Asda, whenever we've shopped (usually on a weekend) we've very rarely found an item out of stock plus there are usually some decent offers to grab. The self-service photo-processing area is a good way of printing your photos from digital camera very nicely.

The one thing i'd note as a downside is the length of queues. Usually there oare no more than 2 customers ahead of us, but when they have a lot of items to scan, wait times can be 5 minutes or so (haven't timed it so that's just a guess). The tills are usually all occupied bar maybe 2 or 3 so there's probably not a great deal than can be done about that - I guess it's just a popular shop!
