I've got past the gorillas on the door, up the stairs and the tired old red carpet, reached the top and promptly stuck to the floor! Yep, then I cant possibly be anywhere other than the Bierkeller!

Its the school holidays, theres under-age drinkers dashing about, girls are crying in the toilets over lost loves, and plastic cups are being crushed underfoot. The beer is more water and washing up liquid than alcohol, the vodka tastes like and very probably is ethanol glycol, the sound quality is poor as usual, and drunken men are attempting pole dancing! It can only be the Friday alternative music night!

Sounds like an absolute hellhole?, but wait, the 'Keller holds a special place in my heart, its one of those places I used to visit with all my friends and have a very good laugh. Its unpretentious, no real posing here, its relaxed, I cant remember the last time I even saw a fight, theres respect, its not a general meat market of men looking for an easy female, nor does anyone care how much money you have, or what car you drive.

It also has the legendary Stein nights on a Saturday night, much populated by stag parties and hen nights being served large amounts of beer.
As well as having alternative gigs by lesser known bands, and well as by-gone singers and bands who cant fill the Carling Academy anymore!

Not the place to go for prententious posers, but for a cheap night out with your mates, listening to some rock/goth/alternative music theres not really a better place!
