Situated at the top of Whiteladies Road, Hausbar has a huge range of traditional cocktails as well as fine wines and prides itself on serving only the best. Doorbell access means that you are personally greeted by Hausbar owner Aurelius Braunbarth, who grew up in a Michelin star restaurant and has brought these same standards to a corner of Bristol. The bar s unobtrusive jazz music and low lighting creates an intimate experience.

I find myself not telling people about this place, as it is such a great venue for the decerning drinker. Doorbell entry gives the place a prohibition feel, and keeps out the undesirables. Cocktails are skillfully made and the selection is great.
An essential bar in Bristol... if you can find it.
