Terraces Bar & Grill

Reviews for Terraces Bar & Grill

Hadn't been to Terraces in a while and never tried the food but I've got to admit I was pleasantly surprised. We got a seat next to the open fire which was fantastic considering is was freezing cold and windy outside. Place was quite busy and the staff were really chatty and seemed genuinely happy to look after us. They were doing an offer on fish and chips for £5.95 which enticed us in but we were not expecting anything special. However it was great, nice fish and piles of chips so we left happy especially after two bottles of wine.
We will be back try a few more dishes from their menu.

What a difference! Terraces has transformed now new and original manager is back in town, thank goodness for that!
Was there for lunch at the weekend and felt so snug by the roaring fire looking out to the crashing ocean - the food was delicious(especially the home battered fish and chips)and very reasonable. Staff were friendly and efficient - the overall experience was applaudable and i'm already looking forward to my next visit... go and relax and 'escape' on the water at this venue, it really is worth it.

Terraces bar & grill does have a fantastic setting and good location. Terraces affords you panoramic views stretching out to brighton marina and beyond, way way out to sea.
It has such a good setting that you hope the food does it justice but that is not really the case and you are left thinking that they could do a tad more and then you would really enjoy your meal.
The decor is not as posh as they would like you to think and it is just lacking and that is what spoils it. It could be so much better.
Why do you have to wait ages for your meal when they are only half full at best, some times not even that full at all and the service has been slow. Try it, the view will inspire, but sadly the food will not.

The best thing this place has going for it is its location, and the beautiful circular terrace overlooking the sea.

The menu read well, but in actuality execution was average at best. Also, the service was terrible - understaffed, and what staff were there were inefficient, and one one occasion, rude.

I've been three times, but won't be back.

Great seafront location, decent menu and food is of good quality. However the service is poor - not enough staff and the kitchen is too small to cope with the demand meaning long waits and food often arriving tepid. Portions are hit and miss, some generous others mean.
