I had great time there at Red snapper waterloo street on friday. We were in the room downstairs with big group of friends..Amazing foods(Red snapper and Seabass dishes) and the service was great by the young waitress(she was the only one who served the food at our floor..I think)..Really helpful and sweet!! It's BYO which is great. Will definitely go back again!

We have been eating at Red Snapper for a number of years - I even had my last birthday party there with 15 friends (the service was not so great then but it didn't matter was with loads of friends and had quite a lot to drink) anyway I diverge. A few weeks ago a friend said that they had had a terrible meal there and as I won't hear anything bad about the place I assumed it was a one off. We ordered take away from the one on Dyke Road last night as a treat after both having very long days and what we found when we got the food home was just horrifying. Red curry beef had 3 pieces of beef in it, the pad Thai was ok but the crispy salad I ordered was slimy and had squid in it even though it didn't advertise this on the menu (I like squid so it wasn't a real problem but still sloppy) the £10 mixed started that we were going to share consisted of 8 shrivelled bits of deep fried, greasy lumps. To say I was disappointed is an understatement! It was just awful and we had to bring it back ruining our evening (I had to miss Masterchef!!!) and were treated really badly by the manager saying that was how it was in front of a busy restaurant. They were so rude and abrupt I will NEVER go back. Life is too short for rubbish Thai food. I'm just really saddened because it was an all time favourite!

You'd be forgiven for thinking that its a cool name for a seafood restaurant! However what we have here is a fab little thai restaurant. The interior decor is the usual thai based decor so nothing out of the ordinary, but the service is excellent and can't be faulted. Happy waiters equal happy customers in my book! There is a large choice of dishes which will keep everyone happy and all that we have sampled at the Red Snapper have been cooked to perfection. The tastes are absolutely spot on and never too spicy. Prices are a little on the more expensive side hence the four stars

Lovely food and fantastic staff.. only problem is getting a table.. its always really busy, although they have opened a cute 'little sister' restaurant towards the sea front (can't remember the address, but ask if you can't get a table). Authentic thai food in a super-friendly atmosphere.
