Reviews for Al Rouche
Ordered a take out from here recently, through Dinner 2 Go, and was pleasantly suprised by just how much food we recieved! The mixed mezze was great, shame the vine leaves were a little too squidgy for my liking. But generally everything else was of a pretty good standard. Also enjoyed the steaming hot complimentary pittas that came with it, yum yum.
This place doesn't look like much from the outside... and even from the inside looks like more of a cafe than a restaurant...
...however the food is plentiful, very tasty, and the staff friendly and helpful!
They do a set meal for around £10. This includes a starter palette, with dolmus, homous, taziki, tabbouleh, pitta bread and various savoury pastries. (For me, starters are frequently the highlight of a meal, and this is no exception...) The main course was a choice of mixed grill served with rice, a spicy aubergine dish or another meat dish which I can't recall right now. Followed by coffee and a selection of baklava or icecream for dessert.
Gorgeous!
