I have to say, i was sorely disappointed by this place. It always looked so good from outside. I have walked past quite a few times and thought to myself i really must try it so i plucked up the courage and ventured inside. On the face of it, they have a great stock with lots of different food, meats dairy etc. I had started to look around and noticed the service staff studying me intently which made me feel a little uncomfortable. I was looking at the ingredients on the back of one of the jars when the staff member rudely walked over and asked what i was doing. I explained about the ingredients but they didn't believe me and instructed me in a barrage of foul language to leave the shop. I have no idea what i did wrong, although based on the last review they probably assumed i was checking the sell by dates. Not going back!

From the outside and looking in through the window, this deli looks like a delight. DON'T BE FOOLED!!!!!!
DO NOT ENTER THIS SHOP, WALK AWAY, WALK AWAY!!!!!!

I love my food and was excited to buy some items recently and perhaps foolishly didn't check the use by dates as it seemed like a well managed shop (posh shops don't do old food surely!?!)

After paying and heading for home I realised my mistake.

The still lemonade I had bought exploded all over my bag with a foul stench and I discovered the use by date was 6 months gone! On further inspection of my goods I discovered that 3 out of 4 of my purchases were passed their sell by, best before or use by dates.

None of the items I bought were reduced or in anyway labelled 'old stock' so that the consumer would know.

On returning to the shop I was offered a refund but none of the staff present were bothered in the slightest that they had been selling old food and I was made to feel as though I were making a fool of myself.

To make matters worse I popped in a week later out of curiosity and found the lemonade and other items still on sale and out of date!

I decided to write this review as time has since passed and I'm a forgiving girl (although I wont buy food from there anymore). I popped in there today to ask some advice on a food matter and was insulted by the woman working there for no apparent reason at all.

All in all, i love the LOOK of this deli and still walk past wishing i could go in there and satisfy my belli but i'm terrified of either being sold out of date food or being insulted by the staff.

My Advice - Steer clear. Shame!!
