Have you heard of the song ‘Midnight Summer Dream’ by the stranglers? I had a very similar experience last night only that instead of the old man, the main character of my dream was chocolate. More specifically Thorntons’ chocolates that were all over my room and I had to try them all.

I discovered this place in Churchill Square Shopping Centre last year when I was studying in Brighton. After my first visit, it inevitably became a habit for me to pass by this place at least once a week. It’s mostly the quality and the variety of different tastes of chocolate this place offers that make it so special. Chocolates are handmade, therefore healthier, so this gives you an excuse to eat a bit more than you are supposed to (without feeling very guilty). I am glad there is Thorntons in London as well.

Ok so I have reviewed a lot of the brighton chocolcate stores, but hey, I like chocolate and the best person to review one of these places is a confirmed choc a holic like me. The thorntons style of chocolate is always good, this one has a good selection and nice staff, but even if the staff were not all that helpful, I would not mind as it is the products that draw me in not the divine service. Better value than choccy woccy do dah and a good competitor for montezumas, only the montezuma 1 kilo bars are better.

who does not love thorntons, they offer seriously good value for chocolates and gift wrapped luxury selections. The place never fails to please, the champagne truffles are divine and the viennese ones are great too. Prices are on the whole quite fair for what you get and most people are impressed with a thorntons treat or too. For those of you who did not know, they also make some of the chocolate boxes for a well known semi up market food and clothing chain, give you a hint,....... these are not just any chocolates they are handmade, gold plated, velvet wrapped, deliciously wonderful chocolates, et, etc,.......... can you guess who they are yet!
