The Subterranean Silver Screen
Ventured to the Odeon many a time to catch films due to using Orange Wednesdays to a get a cheap night out, but the Odeon off West St has done a great job of reducing my enthusiasm for going to the cinema.
Staff are unsurprisingly uninterested in customers. Whilst I was a student, they seemed to inconsistently apply rules about when you could or couldn’t use discounts such as NUS cards, despite no notices up indicating that there was any period they weren’t valid.
If you suffer from any medical problems like asthma stay clear: a couple of the screens are best described as dungeons and there are severe problems with damp throughout the place. When someone can’t stay to watch a film because they can’t breathe, that’s got to be a problem!
I’d definitely suggest going to Cineworld at the Marina to catch a film over here.
