I love this place. Set right in the north laines, Kensington's has a lovely little character.
Up a discrete set of stairs on kensington's garden's is this funny little place with its beasty fry ups and ENDLESS choice of jacket potatoes and sandwiches and salads. I usually end up, like many, gawping up at the boards for a good amount of time just trying to choose. Theres nothing fancy about the food but its good and sturdy grub which fills the hole well. Portions are really good considering price and location (especially on a hangover). However my reason for loving this place, is COMPLETELY for one of those nasty headached afternoons; being able to recover in the sun sitting out on the balcony with a friend of equal hanging, in our sunglasses, looking down at the crowds on the cobbles and winging and groaning over a good bacon and cheese sarnie and a big cuppa tea. And no one expects us to move. Does the job perfectly.
