Reviews for The Evening Star

Great choice of pub if you're into real ales and bottled beers from around the world.

The only downside is its popularity and it's usually heaving. The atmosphere though is friendly. Handily located close the the main railway station.

Good food - but you better not be in a hurry.

Strada does good, straightforward Italian food, just not very quickly. If you're there for lunch on a work day it can be irritatingly slow.

But it is good food and a relaxing place to eat just opposite the Pavilion.

I know the guys who make the beer here, but I can honestly say it is the best place for good beer in Brighton - and there're often some good ciders, perrys and a good Belgian beer selection too.

A small pub but with more handpumps per inch of bar than you are evr likely to see outside a beer festival. This is a real-ale drinkers heaven with so many to choose from you could easily get into trouble... ;-)
