Reviews for The Hanover
Based on its location you would expect the Hanover to be a run of the mill pub lunch kind of place. But, I was pleasantly surprised to find my spring onion mash had lots of spring in it! The menu offers a small selection of classic dishes, at reasonable prices (£8 average) but the standard is definitely above average. Service was friendly and efficient, although if you don't like your veggie sausages with meat in them, make sure you make this clear! Perfect for a relaxing evening in an ambient candle lit setting.
what a great local pub this is, great welcoming atmosphere, wide choice of drinks including Brothers strawberry cider, just like being at glastonbury (without the mud)
great selection of home cooked food - sunday roasts are very well cooked, wide choice of meat and veggie options, very relaxing place to spend a Sunday afternoon or a weekday evening
This is a favourite, there is a wide selection of simple foods, cleanly and beautifully presented (you can recognise what you are eating) ranging from wraps, snacks, proper burgers, steaks and sunday roasts. (I'm a great fan of the greek/goats cheese salads).
The bar staff are friendly and smile. The atmosphere is relaxing, quiz night can be busy but everyone is friendly and relaxed.
