Reviews for The Pond
as other people have said, the pub downstairs in the Pond is nothing special, just a usual back street boozer and there are a lot nicer places to drink in the neighbourhood

maybe not the most romantic of places but good for a group of friends, I'd say
Definitely good value for money. Enjoy their lamb roast - huge portions and free wifi :) Can't beat that.
Had Sunday lunch there - choice of chicken, beef and lamb. Huge portions and counted at least a dozen vegs. Chicken was very good, not so the beef. Can't complain about the value for money.
A bit shabby e.g. paper tablecloths/overall decor.
The pub isn't so great- naff choice of booze and always seems a little depressing (i live basically next door and don't go in there) BUT the Thai food upstairs is amazing.
The food is a favourite of mine, living so close and about £6 for a take away meal, a good take away meal at that. If you are having a take away, rather then eating in pay by cash and you get 10% off.
I have never been to the pub part of The Pond, so this is purely about the Thai restaurant area upstairs.
The menu wasn't too extensive, however, what was there was very tasty. The seating area gave a pretty nice view over Brighton roof tops. We went at a quiet time, and pretty much had the area to ourselves. The staff were attentive and pleasant.
