Reviews for Brighton Pier
The brighton pier is a beauty, it looks great as you drive along the front on a sumer day, it really gives the sea front some added charm. The night time view is good too, with all those pulsating, flashing white lights , it is a beacon in the darkness.
On a hot evening nothing compares to a stroll on the pier, on a brisk night its just as good if you are well wrapped up in a warm coat.
We walked one evening and saw a bunch of divers in the sea next to the pier, they must have been with a club or something and they all had lights with them, it looked such fun. That sums up the pier really, its fun.
The doctor who exhibition which was on the pier a good few years back was great, the trinny and suzannah bots were there along with other doctor who things. It is great on the pier and I will always enjoy it
Brighton pier gets five stars for the donuts and one less for the pier itself, only joking. It is a great pier, nice to walk along on a summer evening with all the lights flashing, lots of rides and slot machines, a pub, plenty of seats to sit down and take in the views. It is a good pier, but when if ever is any one going to sort out the other one, it is a great shame and spoils the sea front. Come on some one step in and sort it out.
Brighton Pier is a big tourist attraction in Brighton. It's full of carnival rides and games, and, mostly, people! The day I went was a Saturday of a bank holiday, and was a really nice sunny day, so there were loads of people on the Brigton beach and also on the pier. Since it was so crowded we didn't spend much time there, but people on the rides and playing the games seemed to be having a lot of fun. There are also free beach chairs you can sit on on the pier - if you can find an empty one. I went in the middle of the day but apparently its also really good at night - I think it would have a really good atmosphere then. Overall, it is a good way to spend some time on a sunny day.
Brighton pier looks good when all the lights are on at night, as you drive along the main sea front road. It is free to go on to the pier for a walk or to take in the other sights and sounds that it has to offer. We found that basic pier fayre such as doughnuts, ice cream etc, were a little over priced, but its not like you eat them all the time. There are rides and a pub too, if thats your thing. You do get great views if you can be bothered to walk on a bit longer, but thats about it really. Its worth a visit, if only to say you have seen it.
The good: Brighton pier is about more than just somewhere to get a view of The Channel. You do get a nice view, but it's all about the attractions and temptations on your way along the pier. It's a trip for the kids to enjoy the rides, candy floss and colourful entertainment.
There are plenty of places for snacks, including a Chinese stall along the path which might be your best value option.
The bad: it’s expensive, even if you're not interested in attractions and candy floss and just want something to snack on. The pier structure itself seems very worn and it does make you feel a bit insecure.
Oh we do like to be by the seaside! Great spot. Free to enter and has all sorts. Arcades, restaurants, rides, bars, anything you'd expect. Brightons a great place with a lot to offer for all sorts. Warning though: the fish and chips I had at the restaurant just as you enter the pier wern't the best; £4.50 for cod and chips, but the chips were cold. Fish was nice though. If you go, you've got to sample some but I'd say stay away from this one on the pier!A great day out though and quite a nice rocky beach!
Ahhh.... Brighton pier, the creme de la creme of all seasides and what a pier it is .
Situated after church road and churchill square and before the marina and saltdean on the coast road the palace pier is one of the main attractions in the south-east.
The pier is free to enter and has lots of shops , restaurants and amusement arcades as well as take-aways ,an exhibition dome and a theme park with a log flume and rollercoaster (as well as dodgems and a haunted house)
So if you are ever in brighton and need something to do , then just pop down to the pier seeing as it is free and make a day of it
Brighton Pier is one of the major tourist attractions in the city and it offers plenty of fun for all visitors.
It is free to visit the pier and there are lots of things to see and do once you are on it.
There are souvenir stores, 2 family bars, a fish and chip restaurant and a karaoke bar. The karaoke bar is only open in the evenings and is for over 18s only, which is a shame as I feel it would be a great facility for children if open during the day.
At the end of the pier you find the amusements - these include some white knuckle rides and other, more gentle rides for smaller children. There are waltzers, a carousel, a haunted house and a couple of roller coasters as well as some scarier rides which will take you out to sea!
You pay per ride on the pier using tokens and on average its about £4 per ride so it can be expensive.
There are also amusement arcades offering minor gambling opportunities for children and lots of machines offering you the chance to grab a soft toy for 30p or thereabouts. Amazingly my daughter won one this time round so it is possible!
The pier is open all year round with the exception of Christmas and is a must see on any visit to Brighton.
