Well Its a little train line, an electric one, that runs along the sea front. Its been around a longtime and over the years there have been several changes to the route and length of the railway. Its been extended westwards from the Aquarium to the old Chain Pier, then later on the line was extended from the Chain Pier to the Banjo Groyne. In 1901 the line was extended beyond the Banjo Groyne to the Black rock. You can buy a family saver ticket which is valid for 2 adults and up to 3 children or 1 adult and up to 4 children between the Aquarium & Black Rock (for Marina) for £3.50 single / £6.00 return which is not bad and kids do love it. The trains operate weekdays from 10am to 5pm, and until 6pm on weekends and bank holidays, in the summer. Not quite sure the exact times you would need to check those out.
