Lovely pub in nice surroundings
A big sprawling location, situated away from the hustle and bustle of a town, but close enough to the M62 motorway to make this an ideal meeting point.
A good selection of drinks available, draught lagers and beers as well as the wine list and bottled drinks too.
meals are of good quality, not too expensive. Portions are of a nice size, you are not over faced.
There is plenty of room to sit inside, for both drinkers and diners alike.
A big car park means there is no lack of parking spaces. There is also a great outdoor drinking seating area, ideal for when the sun is out.
Service here is friendly and polite. The decor is traditional, as befitting the building.
The toilets were spotlessly clean and tidy.
