Started up about six months ago, The Barber Shop is situated on the corner of Queen Street and Water Street, facing the Rhiw M S Car Park. The shop front faces the sun and is warm and inviting. The lady owner is very pleasant and, at the time of my visit, working alone. From this week, however, she is taking on a helper. There was a steady stream of customers for the, approximately, fifteen-minute session. A very thorough "scissoring" and layering followed by a clipper trim and semi-massage, left my head feeling light and warm. More services are planned, shortly. At £8, about average for the area, this was a great hairdo and The Barber Shop is well worth a visit. For me it's the best in Bridgend.
