The spyglass and kettle is situated right at the top of the beach near southbourne. We always frequent the beach right near here, so this pub is the perfect place to stop in on the way home. Unfortunately everyone else seems to have this idea too on a hot sunny day, so the beer garden especially can be packed.

The pub offers promotions on meals at two for £12 or similar, which helps to a cheap meal at the end of the day. The food is fine and averagely in standard to other pubs offering the same deals. There is a good varied choice on the menu, and a good range for the kids too.

The drinks are priced accordingly to any other pub in the area, with a fairly good wine list.
Staff have always been friendly and helpful during our visits, which encourages us to go back time after time.
