  What a disaster. The local Environmental Health Dept are finally taking them to court for their failure to adhere to even the basic food hygeiene rules.
  
  When I had visited in the past, the floors behind the counter were always covered in discarded chips and rubbish, nothing seemed clean and the service was atrocious. If you got a simple please and thankyou you were very lucky. The restaurant area was always filthy, tables never cleaned correctly and the floors around the tables were ineveitably you always end up dropping some chips were never swept. Rubbish bins would overflow and at night you would have to ask for the toilets to be opened (which if you had a child in tow isn't always the most convenient thing.) I vowed to never use them again and I haven't.
  
  They do offer different combo meals so there's always something for everyone but the food isn't always that hot. Beware!

  Not as bad as it's made out to be

  KFC in Boston has a terrible rep - for the last few years, it's received no award from the local food inspectorate, not even the bare minimum for being decent. A member of staff got nicked recently for using their keys to pinch cash from the safe. KFC are being taken to court by the Boston Borough Council.
  
  Yet if you actually go in there for food, there's no problem at all. KFC have such a great range of chicken dishes, and many, many different meal combos, that the hardest part is deciding what you actually want.
  
  And the extras you get with kids meals (ice cream thrown in, for example) and with family meals (tubs of ice cream, loads of side dishes, bottle of coke or whatever) make it a great place to stop by for a snack.
