Food was good, young chef came out of the kitchen as i was ordering (danny) I wanted to change something on the menu, he was pleasent and willing to help & do this for me, unfortunatly the same couldnt be said for the girl behind the bar, (lisa) Apparently she was a manager but had the managing abilities of a piece of cardboard and dint have any customer relation skills at all. Overall a good meal thanks to danny catering for me, just let down by the slighty odd smell near the back door (dont let that put you off, its only in the corridor on the way in) and Lisa, who if is a real manager needs knocking down a peg or two as i wasnt the only one there with a problem with her attitude towards customers, The couple sat next to us we got chatting to, they explained how they visit regulary, but since the previous deputy manager left and she took over, customer relations & the quality of the beer had gone downhill. Their words, not mine!

A brilliant family pub which serves really good home cooked meals. (Friends of ours own their own restaurant but go to this place quite often as the food they cook is of such good quality) Offers a pretty traditional menu but they always have a good selection of specials on the boards around the pub.

It has the really relaxed atmosphere of a traditional english pub and the staff are always really friendly. Offers good value for money and is in a really nice setting near the entrances to Rivington Pike and Winter Hill. Would definately reccommend this place
