Reviews for Coral Island
the place is a ripp off only intrested in taking your money
Coral Island may be packed with fun things to do...but if your child has an accident there they don't care a stuff! My 4 year old son fell off the ski simulator and cut his head open, blood was pouring from his head and needed immediate first aid. He was with his auntie (who thankfully is a nurse) and she asked staff for help. The first person didn't know what to do so my sister in law asked someone else. They called for the first aider however he said he couldn't come because he was also the chef in the restaurant and it was lunchtime!! The staff didn't know what to do so my sister in law called an ambulance. When the ambulance arrived Coral Island shot forward and asked my sister in law to sign a disclaimer (she refused). My son was taken to hospital and needed his head glueing. We received no apology or help from Coral Island at the time or since. We reported them to Blackpool council who visited the premises and Coral Island has since put barriers around the attraction he fell off and put a minimum age sign up. Thank God he was with a nurse who knew what to do with a serious head wound because this could have turned out much nastier if he had just been with me. Boycott the place there are only interested in taking your money off you, not the welfare of you or your children!
brilliant for evry age lots to do and we all love the carvery!
Whenever i go to blackpool, one of the places i have to visit is the arcade. And with the amount of arcades in blackpool, some find there is always one that stands out.
For me and many of my friends it has to be coral island.
We love that even on a terrible day, what with the rain and cold wind we can still enjoy a trip to blackpool.
There is something for everyone to enjoy, Bingo, childrens rides, slot machines, real life games, ten and two p machines, the list is endless.
Also it does the best meal for under a fiver. I love the food, the portions are generous. Also there is so much choice.
I would always recommend coral island to be a stop off on your next trip to blackpool.
Trust me you will love it!
Can you beat it? In the cafe you can eat as a family of 4 for £6.95, ok its chicken nuggets or sausage for the kids and the usual chips, peas or beans, but what else do kids eat? Choice for the adults are a range of pies, fish, burger or chicken and the dish of the day. The family bar has a carvery on a Sunday which can be very busy but if you wait around is very tasty. The arcade does have something for everyone and a couple of rides going above your head for young children - the kids do enjoy it in here but its hard to avoid the slot machines so take plenty of change.
Well this was probably the highlight of my holiday lol. This is a great, family friendly arcade. Its clean, well managed and there is no trouble in there. There is so much to do, for adults all the fruit machines and for the kids are alot of fun games to get tickets for prizes and a laser ride that goes round the top of coral island. There is a great bingo section which is easy to pick up playing and you can exchange wins for good decent prizes or even food vouchers for the restaurant which comes in handy esp for a family! There is a lovely restaurant which has a selection of great food at good prices and even a fish and chip shop which is yummy! As you are playing on the various games, the staff are lovely and offer drinks and sandwiches too!! This is the best arcade i have ever been to, be advised tho you can spend alot of money in here !! I know i did, esp on the donkey derby!!
coral island has everything for a great family day out. there are lots of slot machine, ride machines (racing bikes, cars) and all the video games you can imagine. there are all the old fashioned shooting games too and of course the old 2p machines. dont overlook the cafe is not to be missed, its really good value, you can get fish and chips or chicken and chips for under 2.50 during the day and the tea is free with it. the atmosphre is good in coral island too and its well managed, ive never seen any trouble.
You can’t visit Blackpool without going to Coral Island.
Weather you’re young or old; there’s something for you to do here.
For the younger children, there are lots of kiddie games and even a little kiddie ride. For the older children, there’s even more games including a ride that goes around building and offers a laser question type of game. For the adults, there’s games, gambling and even bingo.
If you like a challenge, there are lots of games that offer tickets for you to collect and exchange for prizes and trust me, they have a lot of different prizes on offer for both children and adults alike.
If you fancy a bit to eat, there’s a nice little fish and chips shop and then next to that there is also a bar that offers some great deals on meals.
My only warning to people is – don’t visit unless you plan on getting through a lot of cash, as the games are very addictive!!
