Reviews for The Blackpool Tower

Being a mum of 2 children this place can provide hours of fun. After entering to a wonderful aquarium which can keep the kids amused for ages, you then walk through and can put your coat in the cloakroom - shock horror as they now charge for this! Now the fun begins, I am told I have to leave the pram as its not suitable for certain areas of the building!!! With a child that cant walk yet, what am I to do? Carry him round all day is the answer. The staff are helpful but surely in this day and age this problem can be sorted out? The disability discrimination act states that all buildings should be accesable, I can understand that because of its age that there are areas that are unaccesable but surely this should be changed?

any one who hasent been up to the peak of the black pool tower should really go...if you scared of heights then this would be a prety good way of concurring your fears.
at the top it has a glass floor. so you can look down whilst standing on it.

I love going up the tower every time!! It has amazing views and so much to do as you make your way up to the lifts to take you to the top of the tower. There is a circus, aquarium, a massive jungle jims and if you can get you kids out of that a 3d cinema which is fun and then some small arcade machines. It has a lovely cafe with freshly made cakes and a selection of great food and drinks. Then after a small 69 second trip in the lift your at the top of the tower, its a bit windy but a must!! There is a walk of faith which is a glass floor you can walk over (def scary lol) and then a few more floors if you want to go higher. It has a lovely shop at the top which sells cute souveniers and certificates that are signed as proof that you have been up lol It really is a fun few hours at a good price which is worth every penny!

I’m 26 and this month was the first time I’ve ever been to Blackpool Tower and got to say it was well worth it.

We arrived mid afternoon to the news that the circus was fully booked but this was great as we got our tickets with a 50% discount!! Def worth keeping in mind if you’re not that bothered about the circus and don’t fancy paying the full price to get in.

As you enter, they’ve got a nice display of fish, which I must admit wasn’t far off what the sea life had to offer! Then if you’ve got tickets to the circus, just after the fish you’ll find the arena where it all takes place. Just beyond that you’ve got a couple of arcades and games, which help to pass the time.

As you progress to the next level, you’ll find the 3d cinema, which I won’t go into as I don’t want to spoil it. Bear in mind, its not fantastic but still worthwhile. As you leave that, you’ll have a couple of other things to check out before entering the first shop.

This is where we got lost lol we carried on walking up and finally made it to the kiddies play area and a nice restaurant that had a lot to offer and all at a nice price J

After a little refresh, you’ve got one more floor and then you’re finally at the lifts to take you up to the top. The lift ride takes 69 seconds and it’s a glass side lift so you’ve got a great view.

When arriving at the top you’re greeted with yet another shop, the walk of faith and a flight of stairs. The walk of faith is basically a sheet of glass that you can walk over and you’ll get a great view of the street below (make sure you look out for the outline of the guy on the roof lol). The shop has a lot to offer and if you want something to remember you’re trip, you’re bound to find it here.

Right if you’re brave enough, there are another 2 levels that you’re free to climb but bear in mind, its high and you’ll get the full force of the wind! But if you’re got a camera and like a good view, be sure to climb that bit further, you won’t regret it.

The tower never changes in all these years took my daugther they and she love it. So much for her to do and food not to badly priced, had a ride to the top and the lift operator told us a story which got my little girl excited.
Then we made are way down to find the ballroom and a play gym for the kids. The best thing about the tower is the circus we had front row seats and now wish I didn't as I got picked on, Daugther sliding under her seat of horror, but the show was great got to have your photo taken with the clown for a small price but nice keepsake.
