Bullring Shopping Centre, Birmingham, B5 4BU

Cafe Rouge is a chain of Brasserie-style restaurants serving a range of light meals and drinks within a French atmosphere. There is a large choice of dishes as well as hot and cold drinks which makes this restaurant a good stop off point for tea and snacks rather than grand dinners.

Reviews for Cafe Rouge

I love the Cafe Rouge. It's always a bit busy at normal meal time, but if you are a bit patient - and you would have to be when you wait for your food - you will enjoy the - almost - traditional French food.
Favorite dishes include Goats Cheese Salad and he almighty Garlic Cheese.
The best thing about a chain restaurant of course is the fact that wherever you are, if you like it in one place, you will find exactly the same elsewhere.
You can also enjoy the cafe part of the place. If you go out of meal time, enjoy a large Hot Chocolate with cream, or a simple Espresso.

If you don't like busy places don't go here during the day as you will find it busteling with people. Especially shoppers with loads of bags or people with buggies which makes it awkward to move around the restaurant. At night it is a different matter though. Lit by candlelight the atmosphere is amazing. You look out over the iconic Bullring which is also lit up and looks good.

The food is beautiful too. Whenever I go to Cafe Rouge I always order the beef casserole (can't spell it in french!)as the flavours are amazing. The red wine and herbs go really well with the succulant beef. As a desert I chose creme brulee. It's a lovely decadent desert to finish a superb evening.
